BMR Suspension has taken the guesswork out of making huge launch improvements to the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 & 2014-2017 Chevrolet SS, and put it all in one convenient package. Countless hours of design, engineering, and track testing gives you the best combination of parts for remarkable traction and launch consistency on the street and track. Matching specific components and improving suspension geometry provides you with an incredible blend of performance and drivability. This is the perfect suspension solution for anyone looking for the ultimate in street and track performance.
BMR’s Drag Race Package (DRP354) addresses all the major points of the rear suspension, improving the “system” and not just a few components. BMR Suspension designed the DRP354 to work well for street performance and drag race applications. The entire system is 100-percent bolt-in and require zero cutting, welding, or modification to the chassis or suspension.
BMR’s DRP354 Drag Race Package is designed to give you the ultimate in straight-line performance, while remaining comfortable enough to drive on the street. The combination of parts is designed to truly transform the car into a track monster. This package address nearly all parts of the rear suspension system, and the installation is best suited for a seasoned mechanic. Whether you simply want more traction for your daily driver, or the ultimate drag strip car, rely on BMR Suspension!
Coil-Over Conversion Brackets (CCK004)
OE-style lowering springs can drop the vehicle, but do so at the expense of suspension and shock travel. By utilizing a conventional coil-over, the vehicle can ride at a lower ride height, while still retaining full suspension travel. BMR manufactures its Coil-Over Conversion Kits from CNC-laser cut, CNC-formed 1/8-inch mild steel plate for strength, lightweight, and, precise fitment. Whether you want to aggressively lower your Camaro or you want the added suspension control you get with coil-overs, BMR makes it easy to add coil-overs to the rear of your car.
Designed for street performance and drag race applications, BMR makes its coil-over brackets from strong, yet light 1/8-inch laser-cut mild steel plate. These plates simply bolt in place and allow for commonly available coil-over shocks to bolt in. This kit is designed to work with Strange Engineering’s double adjustable coil-over shocks or any coil-over with a 1-inch wide bushing and ½-inch bolt hole.
Lower Control Arms (LCA355)
Stock stamped steel control arms with soft rubber bushings deflect under load and absorb power instead of transferring it to the tires. BMR’s non-adjustable tubular control arms for 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaros (LCA355) are MIG-welded and constructed from DOM steel tubing, with laser-cut mounting plates. This design gives you a lightweight, strong control arm that greatly improves performance. BMR’s Delrin bushings add a solid, more responsive feel over the stock rubber bushings. BMR’s bushings eliminate bushing deflection, ensuring more power get to the tires.
BMR Suspension designed the LCA355 to work well for street performance and drag race applications. The stock control arms flex under load giving you inconsistent launch characteristics. Combine this with soft bushings that have massive amounts of deflection and you’re left with poor performance. The LCA355’s lightweight, yet strong construction eliminates control arm flex, giving you much improved repeatability on the street or starting line. BMR’s Delrin bushings eliminate bushing deflection and transfer the maximum amount of torque and horsepower possible. This means better throttle response, quicker 60-foot times, and improved all-around performance.
Trailing Arms (TCA033)
Stock stamped steel trailing arms with soft rubber bushings deflect under load and absorb power instead of transferring it to the tires. BMR’s spherical, adjustable trailing arms for Camaros (TCA033) are manufactured from heavy-duty 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing. The open end is formed from CNC laser cut, CNC formed 3/16-inch steel plate. When the highest levels of performance are required, BMR uses heavy-duty Teflon-lines rod ends. This design gives you a strong control arm that greatly improves performance.
BMR Suspension designed the TCA033 to work well in street performance, drag race, and road race applications. The stock control arms flex under cornering loads giving you inconsistent handling characteristics. Combine this with soft bushings that have massive amounts of deflection and you’re left with poor performance. The TCA033’s heavy-duty construction eliminates control arm flex, giving you much improved repeatability on the street, starting line, or in the corners. These are the perfect upgrade for the enthusiast looking to improve performance.
Adjustable Rear Shocks (S5003)
Strange double adjustable aluminum coil-over shocks feature two knobs for multiple adjustment options. One knob controls shock extension, and the other accurately adjusts compression. Crafted from fully machined high-grade aluminum, Strange fully assembles and inspects each of their double adjustable aluminum coil-over shocks to assure the ultimate in performance. This part number consists of a pair of Strange double adjustable coil-over shocks complete with 500 lb/in Hyperco coil springs, needle bearing style thrust washers, and all of the coil spring adjustment hardware.
While this kit addresses the suspension components necessary to run 16″ wheels, it is possible to run 15″ wheels if you also use BMR part number BCP001 (Brake Conversion Kit) to address the necessary brake upgrades.
NOTE: The LCA355 DOM Steel Control Arms have drag race inspired heavy duty double-shear sway bar mounts and are not compatible with factory sway bar end links. Custom end links must be fabricated or use BMR part number XSB004 Xtreme Anti-roll Bar.
BMR Suspension’s DRP354 Drag Race Package is available in black hammertone and red powdercoat for long-lasting good looks. Installation time is 4-5 hours. Proudly made in the U.S.A
